Join us every Wednesday at 11:00am for a Music and Movement Activity. Music & Movement encourages physical development and coordination by including sing-along songs with motions and instruments for children. Music and Movement Activities may also be accompanied by guitar and/or ukulele, dance or aerobic movements and the popular DanceCam. Cost is included with paid admission ($5 per person).

The Zeeland Public Schools Education Foundation is launching a "phone-a-thon" October 19, 20, and 21 to raise funds for classroom projects at Zeeland Public Schools. Local volunteers will be making the phone calls between 5 and 9 p.m. all three evenings.

Harlem Wizards come to Zeeland!

The Harlem Wizards bring their tricks, hoops, and alley oops to the Zeeland West gym as a fund raiser sponsored by the Quincy Elementary PTO. All tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. The traveling basketball greats will be taking on the Quincy Poultry Panic, a rag tag team of teachers, principals, community leaders coached by our own Mark Werley. It will be a great night of fun! Tickets can be purchased at the Quincy Elementary office, 10155 Quincy, Zeeland. Call 748-4700 for details.

New Winter Gallery Show

The Dekker-Huis Museum features its Winter gallery show entitled "Why They Came'
telling of Zeeland's first settlers.

Driven by a poor economy and religious persecution in the Netherlands, Jannes VandeLuyster sold his farm in 1847 to finance passage and land purchases in the new world. He and his 425 followers boarded three ships and set forth on treacherous seas to the unknown.

'A Morning with Sinterklaas' for the younger set is scheduled from 10 am until noon at the Dekker-Huis Museum in downtown Zeeland. Holiday festivities include learning about Dutch Christmas traditions, craft activities, snacks and a visit with Sinterklaas.

To make it even more personal, we ask that parents RSVP and share the name and some information about their child for Sinterklaas' book which he will refer to while talking with each child. Bring your camera and create a family memory.
